The Challenge

Carlos was struggling keeping his books updated.  When we met several months had passed since financial statements were created.  Carlos has a small staff.  He was the accountant, human resources, technology department, and chief chef.  Carlos could not find anyone who would advise him on business decisions or take the time to educate him on accounting concepts.

Our Solution

By allowing Carlos to share his goals and fears, we created a plan to get Tlaolli on track.  We first educated Carlos on how to use QuickBooks more efficiently such as setting up recurring entries and connecting the bank account.  These tasks save time so Carlos does not have to enter data.  Secondly, we ensure the accounts were reconciled.  This step allowed us to produce financial statements.  Carlos was able to present to potential lenders for a loan.  Lastly, we created an accounting checklist just for Tlaolli.  Carlos did not have to reinvent the wheel each month to figure what tasks he needed to complete.
